Exploring Acts 2:42

For Grades 6th – 12th

DEVOTED 2026 is rooted in Acts 2:42, a picture of students following Jesus with steady, everyday faith. This Youth Winter Retreat at Mt. Apostles’ Teaching is our anchor at DEVOTED—because real faith starts in God’s Word. Through clear teaching and honest questions, we’ll open Scripture together and learn what it says about Jesus, identity, and everyday choices. You’ll discover how to read the Bible for yourself, not just hear about it. This pillar is more than information—it’s formation, shaping how we think, speak, and live. Come ready to listen, take notes, and leave with truth you can carry home.
Fellowship means you don’t have to walk alone. At DEVOTED, we’re building real community—friends who laugh together, worship together, and show up when life is heavy. In cabins, small groups, and conversations by the fire, you’ll be known, encouraged, and challenged toward real growth. We’ll practice what the early church lived: serving, forgiving, and bearing one another’s burdens. No pretending, no pressure—just a place to belong and become more like Christ together.
Shared tables have a way of turning strangers into family. In Breaking of Bread, we remember that Jesus meets people in ordinary moments—meals, stories, and simple acts of hospitality. From the dining hall to late-night snacks, we practice gratitude and generosity, choosing to include the one who feels left out. We’ll also reflect on the meaning of communion—Christ’s body and blood given for us—and let that grace shape how we treat each other. Expect shared tables that grow shared lives.
Prayer is where devotion becomes personal. We’ll learn to come to God dependent, honest, and expectant—praising Him, confessing, asking boldly, and listening for His voice through Scripture. In worship nights, small groups, and quiet moments, we’ll lift up our friends, families, schools, and future. We’ll pray for healing, courage, and direction, believing God still moves. This pillar isn’t about perfect words; it’s about drawing near to the God who hears and praying together.
